About Sander Lurie
Founder, Sander Lurie Consulting LLC

He holds a Master of Public Affairs from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin and a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He lives in Washington, D.C., with his wife and daughter.
Sander Lurie is a specialist in federal government affairs with nearly 40 years of experience on legislative and public policy issues in Washington, D.C.
During his 17 years in the U.S. Senate, he served as chief of staff to former U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow (D-MI), a member of Senate Democratic leadership and Chair of the Senate Agriculture Committee, and to the late U.S. Senator Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ). He was also Deputy Staff Director of the Senate Budget Committee, and earlier a legislative director and legislative assistant.
After senior roles in the private sector, he founded Sander Lurie Consulting LLC in July 2026. He has represented large corporations, startups, technology companies, and mission-driven nonprofits, including high-profile clients facing challenging circumstances.
